People on Streets

I dislike it when I see people on the streets
Begging for money to buy food
I see that they are bitter cold
And are very hungry

I imagine what it it like
Feeling like a refrigerater
Your stomach driving you crazy
And worrying what happens next....

When I pass them in the car
Or on the elephant
Or ever near the village
I can see how they express their fellings just by looking at them.

Also when I pass them
I imagine if we could take them whith me to my home
Give them food
Give the young one milk
Give the old a nice hot cup of water
Give them a Job to earn money
....and let them sleep there too...

(Inspired from the India Trip in Dec,2011)

Wonderfully written, Adi. Brought tears to my eyes. It is so cool that you think of helping such people who need our help. I especially liked the part of giving them a job, for that will truly solve their problem. The world will be a much better place to live in if we all start thinking like you. God Bless you, Kanna.

Adi,

That is very nice writing you have done. Keep it up. I am sure not only will you grow up to be a fantastic writer but will also come up with great ways to solve the worlds problem.

Adi, wonderful thoughts. As we grow older, we tend to get more and more wrapped into ourselves. That is why we like people with a ‘childlike’ heart. God bless you for being so thoughtful. If you keep these feelings alive in your heart, they may make you do wonderful things that will bring a lot of comfort to others. It’s a shame that most of us grownups have gotten used to such sights and the desire to do something for the less advantaged. Blessings and love – shefali masi :)

I also like the imagery of the refrigerator…and the elephant in the village…and the specific ways he’d help (food, milk, hot water, a job).
